I’ve never even attempted to make homemade ice cream. It’s always felt like a fancy, hard-to-make treat that’s far easier bought at the grocery store or an ice cream shop. However, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. Making ice cream is extremely simple – in fact, all you need is two ingredients and a mason jar!
Gemma from Bigger Bolder Baking shared an awesome tutorial for making homemade ice cream that’s so easy, you’ll wonder why you didn’t attempt it sooner! The only two ingredients you need are heavy whipping cream and condensed milk. You’ll also need a glass mason jar – plastic Tupperware containers just won’t cut it.
All you have to do is pour in the two ingredients, put the lid on the mason jar, and shake the solution for about five to seven minutes. I know it sounds crazy, but the solution will thicken and turn into ice cream. It’s a good idea to chill the mason jar in the fridge ahead of time so the solution stays cool.
