Shipping Container Pools Are Shaping Up To Be The Coolest Trend Of Summer 2021
Putting in a traditional pool costs a lot of money. And so, people have started getting creative when it comes to ways to stay cool during the hot summer months. Last year, the trend seemed to be making pools from livestock watering tanks. But for summer 2021, it’s all about shipping container pools.
You may have seen people build tiny homes out of shipping containers, and now people are having them dropped in their backyards to use as swimming pools. The long, rectangular shape of shipping containers means you can actually swim around a bit, and with an average cost of around $3,000 to $5,000, shipping containers are still much more affordable than a traditional in-ground pool.
Shipping container pools will need to be waterproofed and you’ll need to install some sort of pump or filtration system, but these are things you can likely do yourself. Check out the video below to see a great example of how you can make a swimming pool from a shipping container:
Another cool perk of one of these pools is that many shipping containers come with windows. So, you’d be able to check out a pretty cool underwater view! Many people choose to build decks and patios around their shipping container pools, making for a pretty epic outdoor space. And they’re not just for warm weather – you could transition your shipping container pool to a hot tub in the cold weather!
So, what do you think? Would you ever consider putting in a shipping container pool? If a traditional in-ground pool isn’t in the budget, I think a shipping container pool is an awesome, cost-effective way to keep cool in the summer. What a neat concept!
