Fill a jar with baking soda, then add in a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Shake the mixture around, then sprinkle on your carpets, furniture, etc. Wait about 15 minutes, then vacuum the solution up. The baking soda will absorb unpleasant odors and the oils will leave a nice scent behind.

Another great hack using the ingredients listed in #4 is to place them in a jar, then put some plastic wrap over the jar’s opening. Poke holes in the plastic wrap and leave the jar in the room you want to deodorize. The baking soda will absorb any gross odors!

Another great way to promote a clean, fresh-smelling house is to use citrus-infused cleaning products. Add some lemon or orange rinds to a jar of warm water, add in a splash of distilled vinegar, and let the solution sit for a couple of days. Transfer the entire solution to a spray bottle and use it to clean and disinfect a multitude of surfaces throughout your home.

Now that you know these simple and natural tips, you’ll be well on your way to a clean, fresh, and lovely-smelling home!
