How To Make Mosquito Repellent Mason Jars

source: Tip Hero

There are a million good things about summertime, but there is also one super annoying thing — and that’s mosquitos. Few things are worse than trying to relax on your front porch or in your backyard, only to be driven inside by the whining and biting of mosquitos.

Bug repellent sprays only work to a certain extent, and citronella candles only emit their scent within a small radius. Thankfully, Tip Hero developed a mosquito repellent solution that’s all-natural and actually works.

To make your own mosquito repellent, you will need:

1-2 lemon wedges

1-2 lime wedges

A few sprigs of rosemary

Water

7-10 drops of lemon eucalyptus oil

Floating tea candles

All you have to do is add the lemon wedges, lime wedges, and rosemary to a mason jar. Add in the lemon eucalyptus oil, then fill the jar with water. Place the floating tea candle on the surface of the water. When you light the candle, the solution will become extremely pungent and does a great job of keeping mosquitos at bay.

That’s all there is to it! You can place the mason jars around your front porch and backyard to enjoy your outdoor spaces in peace this summer. Thanks for the great idea, Tip Hero!
