How To Make Those Famous TikTok Potatoes

I’ll be the first to admit that when TikTok initially became popular, I didn’t understand the draw. Until I stumbled upon all of the incredible food and recipe videos, that is. I have made so many delicious recipes from TikTok including salmon bowls, stuffed chicken, and my new favorite honey dijon salad dressing. I even made that viral feta and cherry tomato pasta (which is worth all the hype, might I add). Rivaling the famous pasta is food blogger ScheckEats’ uber popular roasted potato recipe. And this, too, is worth every bit of the hype!

Scheck explains that the recipe is a classic British technique that he saw years ago when actor Emily Blunt was a guest star on Ina Garten’s Barefoot Countessa. The finished product is the most drool-worthy roasted potatoes that are perfectly crispy on the outside, yet soft, tender, and flavorful on the inside.

The key to getting the potatoes perfectly crispy is leaving the skins on, but also boiling them in very salty water so they absorb that delicious flavor. All you need is a little bit of oil and some seasonings you very likely already have, and that’s it. No fancy ingredients or trips to a specialty grocery store.

These potatoes would of course pair wonderfully with meat of any kind, as well as a green vegetable. But if you’re like me and love all members of the potato family, you’d probably be tempted to eat them on their own! Click here for the full recipe from ScheckEats. These potatoes are famous for a reason – mark my words!
