Our last home had a gas stove, which I loved. But our current home has an electric stove. And I must say, keeping this glass stovetop clean is a serious challenge. The second a tiny bit of water spills over a boiling pot, it immediately burns onto the glass. Mix that with cooking oil, splattering sauces, and other food residue, and I definitely have a hard time keeping this thing clean. Fortunately, there’s a great DIY solution that will have your stovetop glistening clean again.

This easy yet effective hack is courtesy of One Good Thing by Jillee. All you’ll need is some distilled vinegar, baking soda, liquid dish soap, and an old bath towel.

First, pour the vinegar in a spray bottle and then spray down the entire stovetop. Next, sprinkle your baking soda on top.

Next, fill a bucket with hot water and a bit of liquid dish soap. Then, take your towel and dunk it in the bucket.

Now, wring out the towel but not completely – it should still be a little wet. Then, place the towel over top of the entire stovetop and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

When the time’s up, remove the towel and use a soft-bristle brush to scrub off any stubborn residue. Then, wipe clean with a damp cloth. As the final step, spray some of the distilled vinegar on the stovetop and wipe clean with a dry microfiber cloth.

And that’s it! Even the most stubborn stovetop stains are no match for this awesome DIY method.
