I do quite a bit of cooking, so our oven works hard pretty much every day of the year. Because the oven gets so much use, it’s not surprising that it becomes full of grease, grime, and burnt food residue over time. Right up there with scrubbing toilets, cleaning the oven is one of my least favorite chores. Fortunately, there is one hardworking oven cleaning product that seems to make the job a whole lot easier.

As reported by Taste of Home and their Test Kitchen, the team tested a ton of different oven cleaning products and really narrowed down the list. One of their top products for fighting stubborn grease, grime, and sticky spots was Easy-Off Fume Free Oven Cleaner. Though not 100% fume-free, the Test Kitchen team noted that this product should be sprayed on and left to sit overnight. In the morning, they used a damp cloth to easily wipe away the oven grime. Cracking a window when spraying and wiping can help with the fumes!

Another noteworthy oven cleaning product they tried was Great Value Oven Cleaner. Though slightly more streaky than the Easy-Off product, this cleaner is slightly cheaper and still did a great job. So, I’d say either product would be a safe bet when it comes to tackling a dirty oven!

Of course, you can also use more natural methods like baking soda, vinegar, or liquid dish soap. There will just be more scrubbing involved in those methods, but a little bit of elbow grease isn’t always a bad thing! No matter which method or product you ultimately go with, let this be your reminder to stop procrastinating cleaning your dirty oven!
