Have you ever gone to cook or bake something, only to find that you’re missing a key ingredient? This has happened to me more times than I can count, and it often involves me giving up on the recipe altogether. Thankfully, this doesn’t need to be the case! There are many effective ingredient substitutions that can help save a recipe, should you find yourself missing a few pantry staples.

My suggestion is that you print off some of these charts and keep them in an easily accessible spot, like taped to the inside of your pantry door, or included in a frequently used recipe book.
