How To Grow Your Own Garlic Right In The House

I put garlic in just about everything. Not only does this natural bulb give a great hint of flavor to so many dishes, but it also offers many health benefits. If you go through garlic as quickly as my family does, you might want to think about growing your own garlic. You don’t need a vegetable garden or a green thumb to grow garlic, either. You can grow garlic quickly and easily, right in the comfort of your own home.

Firstly, we should note that this method won’t provide you with garlic bulbs like you buy from grocery stores. It will provide you with garlic greens, which sprout from the top of the bulb. These greens have a more subtle flavor than traditional garlic, but they’re still delicious and will provide great flavor to a variety of dishes.

To grow your very own garlic greens, simply plant some garlic bulbs in a pot filled with potting soil. Place the pot in a sunny place and lightly water. The garlic greens will begin to grow quite quickly, and they should be ready to be cut and used within seven to 10 days. Once the bulbs have sprouted the greens, they’ll be done and will need to be replaced if you want to grow more greens.
