8 Great Ways To Organize Your Spices
One of my goals for 2021 was to have a more organized home. Over the last few months, I’ve made some great progress in the kitchen. My dishes and pantry are the most organized they’ve ever been! Before I move on from the kitchen to another area of my home, I have to tackle one last thing: organizing my spices. So I decided to compile a list of great ways to organize spices to give all of you (and myself) some inspiration and motivation!
1. Glass Jars
Start off with your spice organization by putting all spices into matching containers, then labeling them. You can buy glass jars at the dollar store for super cheap. This helps everything to look uniform and organized.
2. Drawer Storage
If you have a spare drawer, lie spice jars on their sides and label accordingly. This will make it super easy to grab whichever spice you need right when you open the drawer.
3. Lazy Susan
If you don’t have the option of storing your spices in a drawer, storing them in a cupboard on a lazy Susan is a great alternative!
4. DIY Crate Shelf
An old soda or milk crate turned on its side and fastened to the wall is a great way to store and display your spices!
5. Spice Cupboard
I love the idea of a little spice cupboard! You could display the cupboard on your kitchen counter or fasten it to the wall.
6. Hanging Spices
When you’re pressed for cupboard space, hanging up your spices is a great solution!
7. DIY Spice Pantry
If you have a gap between your fridge and the wall, make use of the space with a slide-out spice pantry!
8. Magnetic Storage
Store frequently used spices in jars with a magnetic bottom, then stick them to your fridge. I love this idea!
I hope this list of spice storage ideas has given you some inspiration for storing and organizing your own spices. For my own kitchen, I’m torn between #3 and #5. Either way, I know my spices will be organized and looking great!
