I think it’s safe to say that pie is my favorite type of dessert. Pumpkin, blueberry, apple, you name it – I’ll eat it. I have always loved cherry pie as well, so when I came across a recipe for cherry pie bars, I was extra excited. This recipe is essentially a cherry pie baked as a tray, so you can cut the pie into the perfect sized bars.

Sandra of the food blog She’s Not Cookin’ was gracious enough to share her recipe for Easy Cherry Pie Bars for a Crowd. Her recipe is for a nice big batch that can serve up to 60 people! This makes the recipe perfect for a cookout, family get together, baby/bridal shower, birthday, Fourth of July party, and so many other types of gatherings.

The recipe ingredients are all extremely simple pantry staples, plus some good old fashioned cherry pie filling. Once the ingredients are mixed and plopped on a big baking sheet, the recipe bakes in the oven for about 35 minutes. Adding a glaze is optional, but why wouldn’t you?!

Find the full recipe and step-by-step instructions here. My favorite thing about this recipe is that it looks like it requires a ton of time and effort, but it’s actually extremely simple. I’m not much of a baker, but I am a serious pie-lover. The simplicity of this delicious recipe makes me confident that I can whip it up for our next family get together. Thanks for sharing, Sandra!
