Although we tend to clean our countertops and kitchen floors regularly, how often do you really clean your cabinets? Over time, grease from cooking becomes embedded in your cabinets, and it can make them look dull and old. To make your kitchen cabinets look brand new again, check out these great cleaning hacks.

1. Dish Soap

To deep clean grease and other residue from your cabinets, mix together two parts water with one part liquid dish soap. Use a sponge or cloth to wipe down your cabinets with the solution, taking care not to get too much on your cabinets. Afterwards, wipe down the cabinets with a damp cloth.

2. Vinegar

What can’t you clean with vinegar?! Make a solution using equal parts vinegar and water, then use a cloth to wipe down your cabinets with the solution. This method is especially good at eliminating sticky residue.

3. Ammonia

To remove grease stains, dilute some ammonia with water, then rub the solution into your cabinets. Use a damp cloth to go over the cabinets afterwards.

4. Baking Soda

To remove cabinetry stains, make a paste using baking soda and water. Gently rub the paste onto the stains, then wipe with a damp cloth. Be sure to test out this method on an inconspicuous part of your cabinet first, as baking soda can be abrasive to some finishes.

5. Oil Soap

In addition to cleaning your kitchen cabinets, oil soap will also make wood cabinetry shine as though it’s brand new. It’s safe for wood, so you don’t have to worry about it damaging your cupboards.
