I have long, wavy hair, and it doesn’t always cooperate. Thankfully, that’s why braids were invented! Whether you’re having a bad hair day, want to get your hair out of your face, or simply want to try out a new hair look, here are six braid tutorials to try out on yourself at home!

1. Waterfall Braid

Whether you’re going to dinner with friends or attending an upscale wedding, you can truly never go wrong with a waterfall braid! I know this looks complicated, but it’s actually not very difficult to recreate!

2. French Braid

Ahhh, the classic French braid! This is one hairstyle that everyone with long hair should learn how to do. It’s classic, simple, chic, and can be done in a matter of minutes. Perfect!

3. Dutch Braid

A fun twist on the French braid, a Dutch braid is unique yet still easy to recreate. Dutch braids also happen to be quite trendy right now, which is an added bonus!

4. Crown Braid

Crown braids are gorgeous, especially for fancier occasions. They take slightly longer to do, but the end result is definitely worth it.

5. Twisted Headband Braid

This headband-inspired hairstyle looks great on short, medium, and long hair. Plus, it’s extremely simple!

6. Double Dutch Fishtail Braids

This is one of the more complicated styles on this list, but how beautiful are these braids? If you happen to have a friend who’s good at braiding, I’d rope them into this one!

Now you have six new hairstyles to try out – my favorite is the crown braid, and I think it will be perfect for this summer!
