This Recipe For The ‘Best Darn Brownies’ Is About To Be Your New Favorite Treat

There’s nothing more disappointing than biting into a dry, crumbly brownie. Brownies are supposed to be chewy, moist, and flavorful, after all! Thankfully for us, Shara Morrison shared a recipe for the “Best Darn Brownies,” a 50-year-old lunchroom recipe that’s bound to become your new favorite!

To make the Best Darn Brownies, you will need:

1 cup of butter
1/2 cup of cocoa
2 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
4 eggs
4 teaspoons of vanilla
1 cup of chopped nuts

For the icing:

1/4 cup of softened butter
1/4 cup of canned or regular milk
1/4 cup of cocoa
3 cups of powdered sugar
Dash of salt

Directions:

Step 1: Mix the batter ingredients together and pour into a 9 x 13″ baking pan. Bake at 350 F for 20 to 25 minutes, checking the brownies at 20 minutes.

Step 2: Mix the icing ingredients together until smooth. Once the brownies have cooled, frost as desired.
