Sliding doors are great – until they start malfunctioning. If your home has a sliding door, I probably don’t have to tell you how annoying it is when the door begins to get stuck in the track. How To Clean A Sliding Door Track:

Thankfully, cleaning your sliding door track is a quick and simple process that doesn’t involve any specialty cleaning products. Start out by vacuuming any loose dirt or debris sitting in the track. Next, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda along the track. Then, pour some hydrogen peroxide over the baking soda. You’ll notice the two products will create a reaction and begin to fizz and bubble. This will remove caked-on dirt from the tracks while disinfecting at the same time.

Let the solution sit for 10 to 15 minutes. When the time’s up, use a cloth to remove the solution from the track. You may want to use a second damp cloth to remove any leftover residue. And that’s it! Cleaning your sliding door track is a quick and easy chore that can help prolong the lifespan of your sliding door.
