I must confess: I’m not a baker at all, and I generally stock the kitchen with more savory things. However, give me a delicious zero-fail dessert recipe (one that is also, delicious, easy, and impressive for a crowd) and I am all in. I’ve just found my new bottom-bun cookie recipe! And believe me, not only are these super easy, they are also flavorful and satisfying, and come together in 10 minutes.

So, the first thing, besides your standard sugar and butter, is butterscotch chips, pecans finely chopped up. And a few drops of rum extract. If you don’t really like pecans, feel free to substitute, chopped walnuts or sliced almonds. But, I think walnuts bake very well. If you don’t like butterscotch, that’s not an issue either! Chocolate chips or white chocolate chips would be AMAZING in here. This recipe is very adaptable with these flavors, so feel free to make it your own and enjoy mixing it.

I know that a lot of you enjoy making those beautiful Christmas cookie boxes during the holidays. ( I know I do!), so just picture how great a box of these butternut cookies would be filled with chocolate chip cookies, spiced gingerbread cookies, date squares, and shortbread cookies. (I think I just drooled over that image in my head!)

If you want to relieve yourself of the potential pain of baking these sweet, delightful cookies, you can find the recipe for these cookies, and full directions here! Seriously, this is a cool recipe that tastes fantastic and is a recipe to get accomplished without hardly any effort at all, this is it. Best luck bakers! Happy baking bakers!
