How To Make ‘Play Snow’ For Kids

source: Huckleberry Love

If you live somewhere that doesn’t see snow in the winters but want your kids to be able to experience it, you’re going to love this hack. The ladies over at Huckleberry Love created a recipe for make-your-own play snow that is such a fun kids activity for a slow afternoon. Here’s what you need to do!

This recipe for play snow is extremely simple. All you need to do is mix three cups of baking soda with half a cup of conditioner. It’s best to go with a white conditioner so your play snow actually ends up being the color of snow. After you mix up the two ingredients, you can place the play snow in a large shallow pan (to somewhat contain the mess).

This play snow moulds easily, feels cool to the touch, and even smells like freshly washed hair. The best part about this play snow is that it cleans up extremely easily — both ingredients dissolve under water, so you likely won’t even need to use soap. If you want to keep your play snow for more fun the following day, just seal it up with some plastic wrap.

This is an awesome activity for kids who live somewhere without snow in the winter. They will be entertained for hours, and can even build little snowmen and snow villages. Thanks for sharing this great sensory activity for kids, Huckleberry Love!
