10 Ways To Use Nail Polish Remover Around Your Home

When you think of nail polish remover, the first thought that likely pops into your mind is “that strong-smelling stuff I use to take off my old nail polish.” While this description is totally accurate, did you know that nail polish remover can actually be used for multiple tasks around your home, too? Here they are!
1. Removes Ink Stains
If you’ve gotten an ink stain on clothing, mix together one part of nail polish remover with two parts of water. Soak a rag in the solution, wring it out, and then carefully dab at the stain until it starts to disappear.
2. Removes Sticky Residue
When dealing with the sticky residue left behind from labels, apply a small amount of nail polish remover to the area in question, then scrub off.
3. Saves Nail Polish
To extend the life of a too-thick nail polish, add a few drops of nail polish remover into the bottle, then put the lid back on and give it a good shake.
4. Removes Permanent Marker Stains
If you’ve gotten permanent marker on something, use a rag to dab at the stain with some nail polish remover.
5. Removes Paint From Glass
If you’re painting and accidentally get some on your windows, apply some nail polish remover to a rag, then carefully wipe at the paint marks.
