People Are Making Campers Out Of Horse Trailers And They’re As Cool As They Sound

For decades, horse trailers have been used for one thing and one thing only – transporting horses. Until now, that is! Some creative people are now transforming old horse trailers into super cool camper trailers. Although this new trend in mobile living may sound rather odd, it’s actually pretty genius.
British Columbia, Canada resident Fred Cote decided to go ahead and buy a 1970s horse trailer with the goal of completely repurposing it into a camper trailer. Although it was quite the project, the end result is certainly worth it. Let’s take a look at the entire process!
This is what Fred’s horse trailer looked like when he first purchased it. It was rusting, the paint was wearing off, and it was in pretty bad overall shape.

Frank quickly got to work on completely gutting the inside of the trailer, reframing it, and lining the walls with insulation.

After some hard work, Fred transformed the old, falling-apart horse trailer into a canary yellow camper!

The inside of the trailer is lined with birch wood and features a kitchen area, bench seating, and even a mini toilet hidden under one of the benches.

The seating area also folds down to become a queen-size bed!

Frank’s transformed trailer truly is perfect for enjoying a great weekend of camping.

We hope you enjoy your new little slice of heaven, Frank!
