An Old Camper Was Turned Into A Cute Caravan For Less Than $700
Some people are simply born with a knack for anything creative. And after seeing these photos, you’ll agree that Emma Mouley is one of those people. The UK-based mom turned an ’89 Compass Omega Caravan into an adorably chic camper trailer. And the best part of all? The transformation only cost Emma £500 (about $670 USD).
The camper (affectionately named “Bertha”) was bought for £600 (about $800 USD). This is what it looked like on the day Emma brought it home.
Bertha was pretty dated and lacking in character before Emma decided to transform her. You can use the arrows to click through the before pics.
Emma got to work on brightening up the space, and settled on a color palette inspired by soft pinks, monochrome, and copper accents. Here’s the camper after some clearing out and paint.
After a fresh coat of paint, new hardware for the cabinets, some patterned gray backsplash, and some modern copper accents, the kitchen really began to take shape.
The living space was transformed with reupholstered benches, cozy throw cushions, and a string of copper lights.
The next step? A new floor!
And of course, the space just wouldn’t have been complete without new and improved bunk beds.
Now that Bertha was totally renovated on the inside, it was time for Emma and friends to set to work on revamping the outside.
And look how beautifully she turned out! The soft pink accents and “Bertha” decals really make this camper something special.
With a little help from friends and a lot of imagination, Emma was able to turn an old, dated camper trailer into a gorgeous oasis that adults, kids, and dogs alike can enjoy for years to come. By hitching Bertha up to her van, Emma can haul the trailer anywhere and make many camping memories with her family. Congrats Emma, and enjoy all that Bertha has to offer!
