How To Make A Layered Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake Cake
Lemon and blueberry has always been one of my favorite flavor combinations. And when it comes to desserts, this is especially true. Vera of the food blog OMG Chocolate Desserts shared her recipe for Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake Cake that is truly the perfect summer dessert.
To clarify, this dessert is not a cheesecake – though it does have cheesecake elements in it. The base is a moist, refreshing lemon cake filled with fresh blueberries. There is also blueberry cheesecake in the cake itself. Yum! The cake is frosted in a sweet and tangy lemon cream cheese frosting and topped with fresh blueberries and mini lemon slices for decoration. Edible flowers are also a nice touch!
The first thing that comes to mind when I see photos of this dessert is that it would be absolutely perfect for a baby shower, bridal shower, or summer wedding. But of course, you never need a special occasion or excuse to whip up a delicious dessert!
