How To Clean Grease And Burnt Residue Off The Bottom Of A Pan
I’ve always been someone who takes pride in my belongings, and so I do my best to keep everything clean and in good shape. But try as I might, my pots and pans only seem to look clean and new the day I bring them home from the store. Over time, the bottoms of pots and pans become caked in a layer of grease and burnt food residue. No amount of soaking or scrubbing ever seems to help. However, I just came across a TikTok hack that’s a total game changer when it comes to sparkling pots and pans.
TikTok user @ramdeep.osahan shared a hack for cleaning the bottoms of pans that is simple yet super effective.
Use a small piece of steel wool to scrub the bottom of the pan for a minute or so.
Sprinkle some coarse salt over the bottom of the pan followed by a sprinkle of baking soda.
Squirt a generous amount of liquid dish soap over the bottom of the pan. Use the piece of steel wool to work the three products into a bit of a lather.
Place a few squares of paper towel over the bottom of the pan so that the entire bottom of the pan is covered.
Pour a small amount of distilled vinegar on top of the paper towels. Let sit for up to 10 minutes.
When the time is up, remove the paper towels and use a damp cloth to wipe off the residue. You’ll be left with a clean, sparkling pan! To see this hack in action, check out the video below:
And that’s it! With a few simple products that you already have on hand and less than 15 minutes, you can turn your pans from gross-looking to sparkling clean again. Another amazing cleaning hack found on TikTok – who would’ve thought?!
