I’m not sure which part of the world you’re in right now, but I’m currently looking out the window at the first real snowfall of this season. When the temperature drops and flurries are in the air, all I want to do is curl up on the couch with a blanket and something warm to drink. And when it comes to the latter option, I just might be able to help you out!
America’s Test Kitchen shared an amazingly easy recipe for delicious, homemade instant hot chocolate that will make you never want to buy that powdered packaged stuff again. This quick recipe only involves three ingredients, and you can whip some up with virtually no effort.

To make homemade hot chocolate, you will need:
1 12-ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup of heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Step 1: Combine the three ingredients in a medium bowl and stir to combine.
Step 2: Heat the bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between each one, until the mixture is smooth.
Step 3: Cover the mixture and place in the fridge for two hours.
Step 4: Once hard, scoop out the mixture into balls. Wrap each ball in saran wrap and store them in the fridge.
Step 5: When you want a cup of hot chocolate, place one ball in a mug filled with milk and heat until the drink is warm and smooth.
