How To Make Cream Cheese Wrapped Olives

source: 12Tomatoes
Olives tend to be one of those love-it-or-hate-it foods. Personally, I love them! I love serving up olives on a charcuterie board or as a tapenade for appetizers when guests come over. I just came across a recipe that really excited me because it combines my two favorite things: olives and cream cheese!

This recipe is extremely simple to throw together and it makes for a very quick snack or appetizer. All you need is some cream cheese, garlic salt, and a jar of olives. You essentially just form a ball of the cream cheese mixture around the olive. When you bite in, you’ll get the best of both worlds with the smooth cream cheese and the sharp taste of the olive.

Although this recipe would taste excellent with regular cream cheese, I think it would taste even better with herb and garlic cream cheese. And of course you can use regular olives, but a garlic-stuffed olive would be out of this world. Once formed in a ball, you then roll the cream cheese in crushed walnuts which adds the perfect little crunch. You could also wrap it in an added layer of bacon or deli meat to take this recipe to the next level.

This snack would be a great, bite-sized appetizer on its own, but it would also make a great addition to a charcuterie board. For the full recipe from 12Tomatoes, click here. I am already planning on making this little snack for the first football Sunday of the season. It’s easy to make and tastes delicious – what could be better!?
