Couple Combines 2 Tiny Homes To Build Their Dream Home

Like many people who decide to make the plunge to tiny home living, Lauren and Patrick were drawn to the financial freedom and simplified lifestyle that living in a tiny home allows. The couple first bought a tiny home from Tumbleweed Tiny Homes, choosing to travel around in their mobile tiny home for about a year. When the year was up, they decided to put down some roots and park their tiny home permanently. So, they bought a piece of land in Colorado with the plan to ground the tiny home on the face of a mountain.

Unfortunately, as they were driving the tiny home up the steep, bumpy hill, the trailer came off the hitch, rolled backwards, and dumped the tiny home sideways on the face of the hill. While the tiny home was salvageable, it wasn’t in great shape. And repairing it added a significant amount of time (and money) onto Lauren and Patrick’s plans.

The couple persevered and got back on track, fixing the original tiny home and connecting it to a second one by a big porch. The end result is their dream home surrounded by the beautiful Colorado scenery. Let’s take a closer look!

The beautiful, modern kitchen has everything the couple needs, and plenty of storage space.

The raised bedroom nook is certainly cozy.

For a tiny home, the bathroom is surprisingly spacious.

The second tiny home is called “the mini house,” which houses their living room area, extra closet space, and a home office. There’s also an air conditioning system for those hot summer days and nights. There’s even an additional half bathroom, as well as washing machine and dryer.
