Bathrooms can be pretty hard to keep clean. We use them multiple times a day for a whole lot of different reasons, so they definitely see more wear than other rooms in our homes. You could go out and spend lots of money on expensive speciality cleaning products, but there’s no need for that once you know about these hacks!

Showers, Tile, And Grout

If your shower or bath is covered in water stains, mildew, or just looks dirty, try sprinkling a generous amount of baking soda throughout the area. Next, use a spray bottle to spritz the same area with vinegar. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, then use a cloth or cleaning brush to gently scrub at the stains. After you’ve rinsed, the stains will be gone.

If you don’t have Windex (or would prefer to use a natural method), just mix together equal parts distilled vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spritz your mirrors with the solution, then wipe them clean. You’ll be surprised to see just how effective this method is.

Clogged Drains

If you notice that your bathroom sink isn’t draining water as fast as it usually does, it’s likely clogged. However, you don’t need a chemical-filled drain product to solve the problem. Just sprinkle some baking soda down your drain, let it sit for about half an hour, then pour hot water down the drain.

Clogged Shower Heads

To unclog your shower head, simply fill a plastic bag with distilled vinegar, use an elastic band to secure the bag around the shower head, then let the bag sit for about 24 hours. When you remove the bag, turn the water on full-blast and your shower head should be back to running normally!
