Vodka is definitely one of the most popular types of alcohol. And while it’s certainly great for making mixed drinks and martinis, did you know that vodka also has a ton of uses that are completely unrelated to drinking? 1. Stop Poison Ivy Itch
If you’ve come in contact with poison ivy, your skin will be extremely itchy. Pouring vodka on the rash will help kill the oil that causes the itch and rash to spread.
2. Preserve Cut Flowers
When your cut flowers begin to wilt, add a couple drops of vodka and a teaspoon of sugar in with the water in the vase.
3. Combat Mildew
To stop mildew from sprouting up along your bathroom tiles, spray some vodka on the areas in question. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, then use an old toothbrush to scrub it in before rinsing thoroughly.
