Giant DIY Spiders Are The Perfect Halloween Decorating Trend

I absolutely love Halloween. If I’m being completely honest, I think I may even love it more than Christmas. There’s just something so magical about the leaves falling, the crisp air, and seeing porches lit up with pumpkins and spooky decorations. I’m always on the lookout for new and unique Halloween decorating ideas, and I’ve found the perfect one for this year – giant DIY spiders that cover the outside of your house!

I know spiders are not the type of creepy crawly you’d normally want to see anywhere near your home, but these ones aren’t real – so it’s okay! Although there’s nothing wrong with a good old fashioned tacky Halloween decoration, I do like that these ones are more tasteful. And also that they can be a fun DIY project!

This DIY project idea comes from Better Homes & Gardens, and it would be the perfect project to complete on a chilly, gray day leading up to Halloween. It would also be super fun to get the kids involved, if you have any. Foam tubes and faux fur are the main supplies needed, and you can easily make a wide range of spider sizes.

If you’re planning on decorating the outside of your home with these DIY spiders, you can use twine, wire, adhesive strips, or hooks to hang them. Having a Halloween party? Place them up your staircase, along the banister, or hanging from the front of your fireplace!
